How long can the rabbit be left out in the snare before it’s a bad idea to eat them?
That would depend on the temperature…if sub zero when it was caught, the rabbit should be ok in the snare for 2-3 days…

Youre supposed to check your traps and snares daily i check mine early morning and in the evening right after dark. Dont leave your traps unattended.
my dad tried to teach me how to do this when i was like 6. can’t say a retained the information but this is a good refresher.

Finally, someone who knows how to set a snare. I use a high test spider wire fishing line instead of actual stainless wire. But this guy knows actually knows his shit.
can we use them on humans
where i live we make snares a lot quicker and easeir to set.. we dont tie the snare on the the tre/branch with string we just use the stainless steel wire or brass to do everything and u dont have to worry about puttin those stick for the snarer not to move its just stays up by itsself.. i find better and a lot less work for a rabbit haha
YEAH, uhuh…….we can tot-ally use a rabbit snare for humans! (sarcastic) of course not stupid, the rabbit snare is only big enough for a rabbit and when a human puts his hand through it, (human’s hand same size as rabbit) the human will push with his hand through and get more stuck then he can easily get out of it
How do you tie the wire onto the string??? Ive been trying to find out more about hunting, i only know my stuff about edible plants!
