    Sorry, but listen to 1995
Of all the takes that is the one where it all comes together! Young Darlene voice not quite the smokieness, later not high enough,2000with the armed forces choir is close but not quite the live band energy as 1995

Out of all the Spectorettes I love Ronnie but Darlene still has it going on. What passion in her singing. Beautiful.

There is no doubt in my mind that Darlene Love is the greatest of the ’60’s girl singers still working. Guys, she was 65 when she did this show. She’s now 70. And 2005 is the best of the Letterman performances.

    she still sounds good

I think 1995 is the best, but to each his own.

    in Home Alone 2

Darlene can still belt it out nowadays though not quite at the same pitch as she used to. However, a Phil Spector-produced, Darlene Love vocals of this song is still the benchmark and not Mariah or anyone else can hope to top it.

These women and men of the 60′ and 50’s that still sing just kill me. I love them, pure stamina. They keep on going giving us the music we love…

When I was younger I though she was tremendous. I still think so and if my “zest” fades as little as Miss Love’s, I’ll be a happy, happy camper! Sing on babe.

One of the greatest voices in pop music history!! This song was originally released in november of 1963. Damn good peformance by Darlene considering this performance on Letterman was 43 yrs later!
