It’s kind of funny seeing the names of the animators here since this was before they went on to greater things: John Lasseter, Mark Henn, Glen Keane and look where they are now.

I’ve watched this online so many times. I just bought it on DVD today!!! Thanks for the post!
I saw this on TV when I was a kid in the mid 80s. I know it was definitely before DUCKTALES first came on in 1987. This was the first time I ever saw Scrooge McDuck(playing Ebenezer here).

I’ve got a copy of this that also includes a behind-the-scenes look at Beauty and the Beast after the film. Pretty rare stuff
It’s actually on a few DVDs. It’s on Walt Disney Treasures: Mickey Mouse in Living Color Volume 2, Walt Disney Animation Collection Vol. 7, and Classic Cartoon Favorites Vol. 9: Classic Holiday Stories.
I think they used it from the Great Mouse Detective
Actually, this came BEFORE “The Great Mouse Detective.” But you’re right, they DID use that exact same recording of Big Ben in that movie!
I have the original VHS of this from 1986
