well if u just started mining u should mine copper ore smelt into bars then go AH then sell 5-6g stack depends in what realm you are in and that only takes 10 -15min!, but i mine mithril sell 50 – 60g stack cuz no one really farms it and im only lvl 45
On my server i made 1000 g before lvl 40 by mithrils ores d;
I bought every Mithril Ore in AH and then i made it 49g,99s,99c with 10 ores!! :D:D
So i made around 100 g stack and i could easily make 500 g/ hour.. Very nice server im on xD
